PHASE 2 BEAM OPTICS


The Phase 2 beam optics configuration will consist of an electron gun, accelerator tube, drift tube, quadrupole triplet, decelerator tube, and finally collector. The simple, open, straight beam path will permit an experiment that addresses the challenges associated with achieving CW operation prior to introducing the complications of an FEL.
